Qualifications and Experience

Martin originally trained and worked professionally as an actor for 25 years, appearing at most theatres in the UK as well as the West End and on tour in the USA. Highlights include working with Alan Ayckbourn in Scarborough and the West End, on tour with Penelope Keith as well as West End musicals and Shakespeare in Los Angeles and New York. 

​

Martin made the crossover to being a professional director in 2010 and has since directed many classic plays, operas, oratorio, cabarets and musicals all over the UK as well as internationally. 

​

Martin sits on several UK drama school panels, including the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and regularly directs for RADA, Central, Mountview, LIPA and BADA. 

​

Forthcoming work includes Coward's Semi-Monde, Sondheim's Into the Woods and Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
